Come Celebrate Children’s Day at Momo!

Save the date: Sunday May 4th from 1 – 4 Momo will be celebrating Kodomo no Hi or Japanese Children’s Day with local author Toni Yuly and kids’ clothing designer Helen Shor-Wong of Growing Marigolds.

Toni, a Seattle native and local librarian, will be here to sign her delightful new book Early Bird (Feiwel & Friends/Macmillan). Early Bird is a tale about an early-rising bird and her morning adventures searching for breakfast. Full of sweet, colorful illustrations (Toni studied painting with the famed Jacob Lawrence) this is a terrific book for wee ones and older ones alike.

Good morning!
Teaming up with Toni will be Helen, creative mastermind behind Growing Marigolds. Helen’s children's clothing is made from grown-up fabrics for tiny tots. Repurposed and local (hand-made in Columbia City), these teeny togs are not only supremely cute, they are socially responsible.

Loving attention to detail.
Come say “hi’ to these lovely local artists while enjoying homemade cookies and milk this Sunday!
